Westgate Resort, the sprawling resort in the Bahamas, will be opening a luxury resort villa site to its customers this summer.
The luxury villas are being built on the Westgate Beach resort property.
They will be available to those who live in the area or want to visit.
A representative from the resort said the villas will be fully booked for summer 2018.
“The villas come in a variety of styles and configurations, and we look forward to welcoming guests to explore the island, including those who prefer to stay at the resort or choose to enjoy the local attractions,” the representative said.
Westgate has had two luxury resort theme parks since the 1980s.
The first, which opened in 1994, included four-star resort accommodations and the Westport and Westgate Bayside hotels.
The resort’s resort villes were built on a 1,700-acre site in the late 1980s and 1990s, and featured a mix of high-end luxury suites and traditional villas.
The Westgate villas have since been renovated and expanded to include a resort hotel, restaurant, retail stores, residential homes and a golf course.
As of December, the Westgates were the top-rated resort properties in the world, according to TripAdvisor.
