Villas rustica and a restaurant are closing due to the presence of mold.
The Villas Resort & Spa and Villas Restaurant in Lakeland and the Villa rustic in West Palm Beach are among the locations affected.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said the businesses will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
The Department of Health said the owners of the restaurants and villas are contacting health officials.
The restaurants are owned by Villa rusticas owner Choron Maragos and his family.
“We have confirmed the presence, and have been notified by the Florida Department on how the restaurant and villa are impacted by the presence and potential for mold,” the department said in a statement.
The company said in its statement that it is in contact with state and local health officials and is working with health inspectors to address the situation.
The state Department of Natural Resources said it has not received any reports of mold and that no additional illnesses have been reported.
The department did not provide any information on the amount of mold in the villas.
The resort & spa is owned by a third party and is located on private land.
